How quickly something cycles is useful in lots of applications - from RF signals and communication systems to LED lighting. And as many signals are changing angles (such as a sine wave), sometimes it makes sense to measure those cycles in radians per second versus hertz. As the calculator shows things as decimals, it may help to remember that 1 Hz = 2π rad/sec.
